"Bookstore" at least 100+ times a day.....maybe tomorrow we'll count....it could very well be double that! Us, on the other hand, would prefer to never step foot in the place, unless, of course, we're "child free". That was the case, until today.
Today, Rob & I experienced B&N in a whole new way. It wasn't a perfect experience. Even if every future visit to B&N was a repeat of this afternoon, it would be a small slice of heaven for us. Dylan wouldn't hold his leash that was attached to Yoko entering or leaving the store, but she was his perfect companion while he browsed the kids section and picked out a new "Whales & Dolphins" and "Prehistoric Dinosaur" book. It took a bit of prompting to convince him it was time to go, but once he was ready to leave, he walked right up to the check-out line, waited patiently, walked up to the counter when called upon, told the cashier "Here you go!", and then politely took the book bag when ready, carried it to the car & THEN removed the books from the bag.
In all of our previous trips to B&N, when the time came to wait in line, Dylan's whole body would be limp on the ground or he would be chased around by mom and dad. He would never give the cashier HIS books, they would be pried out of his hands, swiped, and put instantly back into his hands to avoid any further "scenes".
I guess Dylan is going to need one of those re-usable store bags, if today is any sign of what's to come.

Yeah, Stephanie, that is what it is like. Maggie now loves to clothes shop (got a new checkered 60's style hat yesterday @ Justice for Girls). You will need a "recycled" bag for Dylan.
